Innovative technologies for UV curing pioneered by UVEXS extended to custom specified lamp sizes. Medium pressure mercury lamps are available in 36,48,60, 72 and 80 inch arc lengths operating at power levels up to 300 watts/inch (450 watts/inch where applicable). Both air cooled and water cooled lamp modules may be specified. Where environments are considered corrosive, full nickel plated and stainless steel hardware may be selected to assure long term reliability and minimum maintenance operation.

As described for the Model OCU, all three standard reflector configurations are available with any lamp length, providing 0%, 50% or 95% IR filtering as desired. Lift out lamp assemblies allow virtually simple lamp inspection and replacement procedures, regardless of lamp size. Reflectors and optic mirrors snap out for rapid cleaning or replacement.

UVEXS ballast power supplies are available up to 25 kilowatts per lamp. As in the standard Model OCU, the lamp is operated at discrete power levels of 150,200 and 300 watts/inch with option for 450 and 600 watts/inch on some lamp sizes.

Optional feedback monitoring may be specified to indicate operating current and voltage, and watts per inch. All operating and monitoring functions may be controlled remotely via a logic level interconnect system which includes I/O in digital or analog as required (typically 12 VDC). Units with UL listed power supplies are available as an option.

Continuously variable power control may be specified to augment the ballast power supply for critical intensity adjustment applications. Regardless of lamp size or power level, UVEXS power supplies can be linearly ramped from 50% - 100% power at the touch of a dial. As in the other operating functions, the continuously variable control may be remotely operated by a PLC via an analog I/O card.
